A conversation with possibly the principal cause of stagnation, a conversation with oneself. There are so many paths that weren´t traverse because of the fear of not being able to reach the goal. But maybe what really matters is not the goal but every single step that you can take, because it is in the movement where there is a possibility for a change.
Josué Li from Costa Rica began dancing about 10 years ago as a member of La Zona Krew, where he stayed for more than 5 years and learned his bases in dance (choreographies, foundations, etc.) and also experience a little of other dances such as contemporary dance and contact improvisation. Then, went to Shanghai where he become a member of a crew called Kumakidz, and with the crew won HHI Shanghai in 2018. After that Josué went back to Costa Rica and started to develop himself in a more introspective approach to the movement and to the way I can connect with others, and currently forming part of a collective group called Tori. In all those years he had the opportunity to learn and take workshops from dancers around the world including Chris, Larkin, Haeni, S**t Kingz, among others.
This year he took the mentorship program of Homework of Project Home, where he learned about different techniques for the creative process and how to harmonize dance with film and this was the end result of said program.
